Full Moon in Scorpio 2026

The Full Moon in Scorpio on May 1st, 2026 shines brightly upon us - illuminating for each of us clear confidence in our own worth.

Before I share anything about the astrology of this Full Moon, I want to tell you what I felt when I tuned into her energy.

The energy felt like a deep rumble rising from my chest, and then moving up through my throat. Like the warning growl of an animal — calm, certain, clear and communicative.

And with that growl came a sentence, simple and sovereign:

Don't let anyone take from you what you know is yours.

That is the energy of this Scorpio Full Moon: Hold your ground.

Not from a place of fear or defensiveness. But from a place of such deep, embodied knowing of your own worth — your own value, your own deservingness, your own inherent right to be treated with respect — that there is simply no more room for anything or anyone that diminishes that truth.

This Full Moon is here to illuminate the inherent worth that you do know about yourself at the deepest level. And to help you finally release whatever — or whoever — has been making you feel like you need to negotiate that knowing.

The Energy of Scorpio: Fixed Water & the Power of the Deep

As the fixed Water sign of the zodiac, Scorpio is deep, intense and transformative.

Where other signs my simply skim the surface, Scorpio dives deep. She is not interested in pleasantries or performance. She wants to know what is real — beneath the armor, beneath the story, beneath what we show the world.

In her light, Scorpio is passionate, fiercely loyal, powerfully intuitive, and deeply magical.

She carries an almost alchemical quality — the ability to take what is heavy, hidden and painful and transmute it into something profound and powerful.

She is the sign of death and rebirth and of the kind of transformation that only comes from being willing to go all the way into the darkness and trust what you find there.

Scorpio also knows her worth. She does not give herself lightly. She does not share her depth with just anyone. And when her trust has been broken, or her boundaries crossed, she feels it in every cell of her body.

In her shadow, Scorpio can become possessive, controlling, and at times, stinging. She can hold a grudge long past its usefulness. She can use her perceptiveness as a weapon, striking where she knows it will land. She can be so intensely protective of herself that she closes off entirely, building walls so thick that even nourishing connection cannot find its way in.

The shadow of Scorpio is when her power turns inward — when she uses her own depth against herself, staying in pain longer than necessary, or weaponizing her wounds rather than her wisdom.

This Full Moon asks us to claim the light of Scorpio — the fierce, grounded, magical power of a being who knows exactly who she is and what she will and will not accept — while gently releasing the shadow that keeps us stuck in sting mode rather than sovereign mode.

The Grounding Presence of Taurus Season

Full Moons always occur in polarity, and this one places the Moon in Scorpio directly opposite the Sun in Taurus — which is exactly where we are in the seasonal wheel right now, deep in the lushness of Taurus season.

And Taurus is a beautiful companion for this particular lunation.

Where Scorpio dives into the depths and the invisible, Taurus roots us in the body, in the earth, in the tangible and the sensory. Taurus knows her worth too — but in a quieter, more grounded way. She knows what she values. She knows what nourishes her. She is not easily moved from what she has decided matters.

The Taurus Sun offers this Scorpio Full Moon a steadying, earthen foundation — reminding us that our worth is not something we need to prove or defend with drama. It is simply something we know. Like the Earth beneath our feet, our self-worth is also solid, present and undeniable.

The Astrology: Pluto's Challenge & the Support of Jupiter and Venus

The astrology surrounding this Full Moon is rich and layered — and ultimately, it is very much in our favor.

There is some tension during this lunation, coming from a square between this Full Moon and Pluto - the planet of transformation, death and rebirth - in Aquarius. Pluto is the modern ruler of Scorpio, so his presence is always felt deeply at Scorpio lunations.

A square from Pluto can bring power dynamics to the surface — revealing where we may have been giving our power away, where old wounds around control and worth are still running the show, or where we feel the pressure to transform something we have been holding onto too tightly.

Pluto in Aquarius is dismantling old power structures, especially collective ones — the systems, stories, and social agreements that have told us what we are worth based on what we produce, how we look, or how useful we are to others. This transit is a provocation — not to destabilize us, but to reveal where we are being called to hold our ground, or stand firm in our truth and values.

And the celestial support available to help us do that is genuinely beautiful.

Jupiter (the planet of expansion. growth and abundance) in Cancer forms a supportive aspect to this lunation, expanding our emotional intelligence and amplifying our sense of belonging to ourselves. Jupiter in Cancer is generous, protective, and deeply nurturing — and here, he offers a gentle but powerful confirmation: you are worthy. You belong. There is more than enough for you. The energy of Jupiter in Cancer with this Scorpio full Moon helps us FEEL the truth of our own value rather than just thinking about it.

And perhaps most meaningfully for this particular theme — Venus forms an exact sextile to Saturn on the very same day as this Scorpio Full Moon. Venus, planet of love, value, and what we attract, joining hands with Saturn, planet of commitment, discipline and integrity. This is the energy of a quiet, dignified "No." as a full sentence. The energy of boundaries held not from fear, but from self-respect. And of knowing what you are worth and aligning your choices — your relationships, your projects, your investments of energy — accordingly.

Together, these aspects form a kind of cosmic chorus: you are worthy. Stand firm. Trust what you know.

Hold Your Ground: Worth Is Not Negotiable

The Scorpio Full Moon reminds us that our worth is not something that we have to earn. That our worth is not something that can be given to us by another person’s approval, or taken away from us by another person’s dismissal.

Your worth is inherent. It has always been, is right now and will always be yours.

And yet, so many of us have learned - through years of conditioning, through relationships that diminished us, and through systems designed to make us feel like we need to prove ourselves — to negotiate that worth. We’ve learned to make ourselves smaller, to take up less space. We’ve been conditioned to accept less than we deserve out of fear of getting nothing at all.

This Scorpio Full Moon is done with that.

She rises with that low, clear growl and she asks: where have you been accepting less than you know you deserve? In your relationships? In your work? In how you allow people to speak to you, treat you, or show up for you? In how you’re talking to yourself?

And she asks: are you willing to stop?

This lunation is not about vengeance or aggression — that is the shadow of Scorpio. This lunation’s assertive confidence is about something much quieter and much more powerful. It is about the kind of grounded, clear-eyed self-respect that simply will not budge.

The kind of rooted self-respect which never allows you to let anyone take from you what you know is yours.

That includes your sense of valuing yourself as a divine aspect of creation. Your sense of deserving love, care, honesty and respect. Your sense of what you are here to experience and create.

Conclusion: Your Worth Does Not Waver

This Scorpio Full Moon of 2026 rises on May 1st with a full and fulfilling energy that cannot be ignored.

This lunations is passionate and magical and deeply transformative — as Scorpio always is.

Despite all the intensity in the skies above you, please know there are lots of supportive transits and energies for this Scorpio full Moon. The astrology is with us. Jupiter is expanding our sense of worthiness. Venus and Saturn are holding hands and reminding us that love — real love, for ourselves and from others — is built on integrity and mutual respect. And Pluto's square, for all its intensity, is simply clearing the ground of anything that no longer belongs in the lives we are building.

So let this Full Moon illuminate what you already know, deep in your bones: You are worthy. You are deserving. You are allowed to take up space, ask for more, and walk away from anything that tells you otherwise.

May this Scorpio Full Moon fortify you with the depths of your own deservingness.

with infinite love and lunar blessings,

Rachael
