Hi friends,

Something tender and true stirs under the illuminated skies of this Sagittarius Full Moon.

You may feel a restless tug toward something brighter, a need to clear what’s been clogging the heart, or an urge to open up and let love move more freely through you.

How do we let love move more freely through ourselves? By recognizing where we may be blocking that flow of love to begin with.

The Sagittarius full Moon illuminates the internal barriers we’ve built to love, the walls of judgement, stories of not being enough, patterns of harsh self-talk, and other subtle (or not so subtle) ways we hold ourselves apart from joy. If you’ve been feeling overly critical of others and yourself, caught in loops of judgment, or withholding love without meaning to—this Moon offers a beautiful remedy.

This is a Moon that speaks in truths. Not the kind that shout or shame, but the kind that rise up from within—quiet, steady, and clear. This Sagittarius Full Moon asks for honesty, not perfection. It calls us to get real with ourselves, to drop the performance and meet what’s actually there. And in doing so, we’re reminded of something simple but powerful: the love you get is equal to the love you give.

That giving starts at home—with ourselves. This Moon makes it clear that self-love isn’t something we earn by getting everything right. It’s the foundation that everything else grows from. Under this light, we’re asked to notice where we’ve been withholding love—from ourselves and from others—and where we’ve built barriers instead of letting connection flow.

This isn’t about keeping score in our relationships or expecting love to be perfectly mirrored back. It’s deeper than that. It’s about remembering that we’re in a living, breathing relationship with Life itself—and that the love we offer the world, in whatever form, is part of a larger cycle. It moves through us, and eventually, it finds its way back to us—often in ways we don’t expect, but deeply need.

Sagittarius’ shine

As the mutable (or most adaptable) Fire sign, Sagittarius is the eternal seeker—the fire that drives us to learn, grow, and expand beyond what we thought possible.

Ruled by Jupiter, this sign carries the energy of exploration, expansion, belief, optimism, and spiritual insight.

At his highest expression, Sagittarius lifts us out of fear and into faith. He helps us see the bigger picture, find meaning in our journey, and remember to laugh along the way.

There is a medicine here, in the Sagittarius gift of levity. This Moon reminds us that humor is a form of healing. The ability to laugh at ourselves, to find softness in the absurdity of life, is one of the fastest ways to crack open the heart. The Sagittarius Full Moon reminds us it’s not about bypassing our pain but learning to hold it with a little more ease.

Sagittarius of course also has a shadow.

His truth-telling can become bluntness, and his beliefs can become judgments both of which can cloister the heart. And his drive to move forward can sometimes keep him from sitting still with what’s real.

In shadow expression, Sagittarius can resist vulnerability, mistake certainty for wisdom, and use humor to bypass emotion rather than process it. This Full Moon casts a light on both ends of that spectrum.

This lunations helps us see where we’ve grown rigid in our thinking or harsh in our self-talk. Where we’ve shut down our own capacity to receive love by first and foremost removing our love from ourselves, and holding ourselves to impossible standards. And where we’ve forgotten that the way back to love is often through humility, humor, curiosity and surrender.

When I connected with this Moon intuitively, I felt energy rise along the entire back right side of the body, especially around the ribs—as if the heart had been protected there for a long time and was finally exhaling. That release moved upward and inward, lighting up the solar plexus, heart, and throat chakras.

The solar plexus—our center of will and action—was energized, urging us to believe in our capacity to make meaningful change.

The heart expanded into a soft, sacred neutrality—not numbness, but the kind of balance that comes when we’re no longer swinging between defense and desire. This is the frequency of unconditional love, the most energized and aligned state our hearts can hold.

And the throat asked for care, not just with our truth, but with the way we speak it. Words are spells, and this Moon encourages us to use them wisely.

Together, these activations speak to a rebalancing of expression, purpose, and love—one that begins with the courage to be kind to ourselves.

expansion through emotional truth

Just two days before this Full Moon, Jupiter—the ruler of Sagittarius—moves into Cancer for the first time in over a decade.

In astrology, Jupiter is exalted in Cancer, meaning it expresses some of its most generous and wise qualities here.

This is a fertile placement for emotional growth, intuitive expansion, and heart-centered abundance.

As the ruler of this Full Moon, Jupiter’s move into Cancer highlights the heart of this lunation: growing through emotional honesty, expanding through self-acceptance, and rooting into the kind of love that nourishes rather than burns us out.

It’s a powerful reminder that real growth doesn’t always look like striving—it often looks like softening. And this Full Moon holds space for exactly that.

For those of us with strong Cancer placements (ahem, like myself!), this can feel like a personal blessing—bringing opportunities for healing, deeper belonging, and aligned growth in areas that may have felt tender or overlooked.

And for everyone, this move of Jupiter into Cancer signals a collective shift: from seeking truth in far-off places to finding it in our own inner landscape.

Where we nurture, we grow. Where we create emotional safety, we thrive.

Jupiter is the planet of expansion, luck, growth, optimism, learning and wisdom. Cancer is the sign of nurturing, intuiting, getting comfortable with our emotions, mothering, and creating a safe home/space.

Jupiter in Cancer reminds us that expanding into love, care, and emotional honesty is just as spiritually rich—and just as worthy—as any outward adventure. This Full Moon rises with that wisdom in the air.

you’re already unconditionally loved

This Sagittarius Full Moon isn’t about fixing ourselves. It’s about freeing ourselves—from the tight grip of self-judgment, the stories that keep love at arm’s length, and the belief that we need to do more in order to be enough.

Instead, let the Sagittarius Full Moon guide us back to what’s always been true: Love is not something we earn. Love is something we simply are.

When we begin to offer that love inward, the outer world starts to mirror it back. And we can begin to see and receive the truth that the love we get is equal to the love we give.

And from that space—clear-eyed, open-hearted, and maybe even smiling—you’ll find that the truth, when shared with love, was never meant to hurt. It was always meant to heal.

with infinite love and appreciation,

Rachael
